Level I Focus

Knowledge & Comprehension

Introduces tools and concepts related to investment valuation and portfolio management, as well as analysis of investments and professional standards.

240 multiple choice questions in two 2.25-hour sessions

Level II Focus

Application & Analysis

Focuses on the valuation of all types of assets and emphasizes the application of investment tools and concepts with a focus on valuing assets and applying portfolio management concepts.

21 item set questions in two 2.25-hour sessions

Level III Focus

Synthesis & Evaluation

Focuses on synthesizing all concepts and analytical methods in portfolio management and wealth planning. Candidates must demonstrate ability to manage portfolios to meet client objectives.

8-12 constructed response essays + 8 item sets in two 2.25-hour sessions
